Assistant Director:

The assistant director is responsible for working with the director at Lake Murray Baptist Kindergarten to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures. The assistant director demonstrates leadership abilities by assisting in creating and maintaining an education environment for children ages 2-5 that meets the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the preschool. Responsibilities will include providing staff oversight, interacting with parents, administrative tasks, marketing and assumes all director responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Director.

 The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:

  • A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
  • A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
  • Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

  • Experience with administrative, data processing, communications and clerical work
  • 6 months experience in a licensed/registered school or childcare center
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in early childhood, child development or another related field
  • Equivalencies and experiences will be considered. 

Classification: Part-time (6 hrs/day; 4 days/wk; 142 days/yr)

Compensation: salary commensurate with education and experience

Preschool Teacher:

The Preschool Teacher instructs and cares for children ages 2-5 years old. The teacher plans and implements activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the class.

The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:

  • A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
  • A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
  • Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in early childhood, child development or other related field
  • 6 months experience in a licensed/registered school or childcare center
  • Equivalencies and experiences will be considered. 

Classification: Part-time (5.25 hrs/day; 4 days/wk; 135 days/yr)

Compensation: salary commensurate with education and experience

Preschool Assistant Teacher:

The Preschool Assistant Teacher assists in educating and caring for children ages 2-5 years old. The assistant teacher assists in planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the class. 

The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:

  • A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
  • A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
  • Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

  • High School diploma, Associates Degree in Early Care and Education preferred 
  • 6 months experience in a licensed/registered school or childcare center
  • Equivalencies and experiences will be considered. 

Classification: Part-time (5.25 hrs/day; 4 days/wk; 135 days/yr)

Compensation: salary commensurate with education and experience
