Get Connected

At Lake Murray, we strongly encourage and promote sharing life together. We have several opportunities for our members to get connected with one another outside of the church building. Want to find out how to get involved? Read more about our various opportunities here or speak to one of our pastors.

Sunday School

Sunday school is the primary way we share life at LMBC. It is our foundational strategy for creating reproducible relational environments where lives intersect with others and with God.

Sunday school is our front door for fellowship and member care. At this time we are studying the Explore the Bible curriculum. The aim of our content is to engage the head (to grow in knowledge of God), the heart (life change and affection for God and others), and hands (applying and living out the transformation coming from head and heart).

These groups meet on Sunday mornings in the Adult Education Building in different classrooms at 9am. To find out how to get involved in Sunday school or if you have any further questions, please email

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups are the next step for those who want to grow more deeply in their walk with God and with others. Discipleship Groups are made up of those who have covenanted together to live a life of discipleship, nurture, and accountability with one another.

Each group uses a pastor-approved book or studies a book of the Bible each semester, adopts one ministry or area of need in our community to serve, and sets spiritual goals that they ask the group to hold them accountable to, and pray for and encourage one another in the pursuit of holiness and maturity.

These groups meet every other week from August through November and February through May.

Wednesday Night Gatherings

Each Wednesday night adults meet in the Adult Education auditorium for the Pastor’s Bible Study at 6:30pm. During this mid-week teaching, our pastor will lead you through an expositional teaching of God’s Word, verse by verse, to understand how all the Scriptures proclaim Christ.

We will also spend a brief time in praying for our church, our missionaries serving in the US and overseas, as well as praying for the people groups of the world. This is a more intimate setting where you will have the opportunity to go deeper in the Word, pray together, and connect with each other in a meaningful way.
